Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CalPic (“CalPic”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the CalPic iOS app and this website (together, the “Services”). It is written to meet Apple App Store Guideline 5.1 and applicable privacy laws, including GDPR where it applies.

1. Scope

This policy covers the CalPic mobile application and calpic.app, including support pages.

2. Information we process

2.1 Information you provide

• Onboarding profile: age, sex, height, weight, goal weight, activity, goal (lose / maintain / gain).
• Meal logs: food names, portions, calories, macros, optional meal photos, water, and exercise calories.
• Sign in with Apple: an Apple user identifier (and, if you share it, your name or email). We do not require an account to start onboarding.
• Support messages you send to support@calpic.app.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and app diagnostics as provided by Apple (crash data, device type, iOS version) if you allow it.
• Subscription status (active / expired / in trial) via Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full card number.
• On this website: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used to operate and secure the site.

2.3 Information we do not collect

• We do not read or write Apple Health / HealthKit in this version.
• We do not run third-party advertising SDKs in the app.
• We do not sell personal information.

3. How we use information

• To calculate a calorie and macro plan and show remaining totals.
• To identify food in photos and estimate nutrition.
• To restore purchases and provide CalPic Pro.
• To answer support requests and honour deletion requests.
• To keep the Services secure and to comply with law.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): contract (providing the app you asked for), legitimate interests (security, product improvement of aggregated or de-identified metrics), and consent where required (camera, photos, notifications).

4. Meal photos and AI

When you scan a meal, the image is sent to our backend (currently hosted on Railway) and then to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) solely to estimate the dish, ingredients, and nutrition. Photos are used for that request, not to train a public dataset on our side, and not for advertising. Do not scan photos of other people if they have not agreed, or images you do not have the right to use.

Estimates can be wrong. CalPic is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice.

5. Who we share data with

• Apple — Sign in with Apple, In-App Purchases, App Store. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to payments.
• RevenueCat — subscription entitlement (whether Pro is active). See revenuecat.com/privacy.
• OpenAI — meal image / text analysis for nutrition estimates. See openai.com/privacy.
• Railway — hosts the scan proxy.
• Netlify — hosts this website and any support form submissions.

We share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with a successor if the product is transferred (you would still have the rights in this policy).

6. Storage and retention

Most app data (profile, logs, photos you keep in the app) is stored on your device. Scan images are transmitted for processing and are not kept as a long-term photo archive on our servers as a product feature. Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request. Subscription records are kept as required for accounting and Apple’s billing.

If you delete the app, on-device data is removed with the app. That does not cancel an Apple subscription.

7. Your rights and account / data deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to object to certain processing.

To delete CalPic data:

• In the app: Settings → Sign out / reset device data. This clears local CalPic data on that device.
• Email support@calpic.app with subject “Delete my data”. Tell us the Apple ID email you use for the App Store if you signed in. We will delete data we control within 30 days, unless we must keep a limited record (for example a billed subscription).

Sign in with Apple can also be revoked in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple.

8. Children

CalPic is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, email support@calpic.app and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Vendors may process data in the United States or other countries. Where GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses used by those vendors.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls on the scan proxy, and Apple’s purchase stack. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.

11. Website cookies

The marketing site is static. We do not use advertising cookies. If you submit the support form, Netlify may process the submission and related metadata.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy where the law allows.

2.1 Sizin sağladığınız bilgiler

• Kurulum profili: yaş, cinsiyet, boy, kilo, hedef kilo, aktivite, hedef (ver / koru / al).
• Öğün kayıtları: yiyecek adları, porsiyonlar, kalori, makrolar, isteğe bağlı yemek fotoğrafları, su ve egzersiz kalorisi.
• Apple ile Giriş: Apple kullanıcı kimliği (paylaşırsanız ad veya e-posta). Kuruluma başlamak için hesap zorunlu değildir.
• support@calpic.app adresine gönderdiğiniz destek iletileri.

2.2 Otomatik toplanan bilgiler

• İzin verirseniz Apple’ın sağladığı cihaz ve uygulama tanılama verileri (çökme, cihaz türü, iOS sürümü).
• Abonelik durumu (aktif / süresi dolmuş / denemede) Apple ve RevenueCat üzerinden. Kart numaranızın tamamını almayız.
• Bu sitede: siteyi işletmek ve korumak için standart sunucu kayıtları (IP, tarayıcı, istenen sayfalar).

2.3 Toplamadığımız bilgiler

• Bu sürümde Apple Health / HealthKit okumuyor veya yazmıyoruz.
• Uygulamada üçüncü taraf reklam SDK’sı çalıştırmıyoruz.
• Kişisel verileri satmıyoruz.

3. Bilgileri nasıl kullanırız

• Kalori ve makro planı hesaplamak ve kalan toplamları göstermek.
• Fotoğraftaki yiyeceği tanımak ve besin tahmini yapmak.
• Satın alımları geri yüklemek ve CalPic Pro’yu sunmak.
• Destek ve silme taleplerini yanıtlamak.
• Hizmetleri güvende tutmak ve yasalara uymak.

Hukuki dayanaklar (AEA/BK): sözleşme (istediğiniz uygulamayı sunmak), meşru menfaat (güvenlik, birleştirilmiş veya kimliği belirsizleştirilmiş metriklerle ürün geliştirme) ve gerektiğinde rıza (kamera, fotoğraf, bildirimler).

4. Yemek fotoğrafları ve yapay zekâ

Öğün taradığınızda görüntü, yemek, malzeme ve besin tahmini için sunucumuza (şu an Railway) ve ardından üçüncü taraf bir YZ sağlayıcısına (OpenAI) gönderilir. Fotoğraflar bu istek için kullanılır; bizim tarafımızda herkese açık bir veri setini eğitmek veya reklam için kullanılmaz. Rızası olmayan kişilerin fotoğraflarını veya kullanma hakkınız olmayan görselleri taramayın.

Tahminler yanlış olabilir. CalPic tıbbi cihaz değildir ve profesyonel diyet veya tıbbi tavsiyenin yerine geçmez.

5. Verileri kimlerle paylaşırız

• Apple — Apple ile Giriş, Uygulama İçi Satın Alma, App Store. Ödemelerde Apple’ın şartları ve gizlilik politikası geçerlidir.
• RevenueCat — abonelik hakkı (Pro’nun aktif olup olmadığı). revenuecat.com/privacy.
• OpenAI — besin tahmini için görüntü / metin analizi. openai.com/privacy.
• Railway — tarama vekil sunucusunu barındırır.
• Netlify — bu siteyi ve varsa destek form gönderimlerini barındırır.

Yasa gereği, hak ve güvenliği korumak için veya ürün devredilirse halef ile paylaşım yapılabilir (bu politikadaki haklarınız devam eder).

6. Saklama

Uygulama verilerinin çoğu (profil, kayıtlar, uygulamada tuttuğunuz fotoğraflar) cihazınızda saklanır. Tarama görüntüleri işlenmek üzere iletilir ve ürün özelliği olarak sunucularımızda uzun süreli fotoğraf arşivi tutulmaz. Destek e-postaları talebiniz çözülene kadar tutulur. Abonelik kayıtları muhasebe ve Apple faturalaması için gerekli olduğu sürece saklanır.

Uygulamayı silerseniz cihazdaki veri de silinir. Bu, Apple aboneliğini iptal etmez.

7. Haklarınız ve hesap / veri silme

Yaşadığınız yere göre verilere erişme, düzeltme, silme, kısıtlama, dışa aktarma ve bazı işlemlere itiraz haklarınız olabilir.

CalPic verilerini silmek için:

• Uygulamada: Ayarlar → Çıkış yap / cihaz verisini sıfırla. Bu, o cihazdaki yerel CalPic verisini temizler.
• support@calpic.app adresine konu “Verilerimi sil” diye yazın. Giriş yaptıysanız App Store’da kullandığınız Apple kimliği e-postasını belirtin. Kontrolümüzdeki verileri 30 gün içinde sileriz; sınırlı bir kaydı tutmak zorunda kalabiliriz (ör. faturalanmış abonelik).

Apple ile Giriş, iOS Ayarlar → Apple Kimliği → Apple ile Giriş’ten de iptal edilebilir.

8. Çocuklar

CalPic 13 yaşından küçüklere yönelik değildir. 13 yaşından küçükseniz uygulamayı kullanmayın. 13 yaşından küçüklerden bilerek veri toplamayız. Topladığımızı düşünüyorsanız support@calpic.app yazın, silelim.

9. Uluslararası aktarımlar

Tedarikçiler verileri ABD veya başka ülkelerde işleyebilir. GDPR uygulanıyorsa bu tedarikçilerin kullandığı Standart Sözleşme Maddeleri gibi uygun güvencelere dayanırız.

10. Güvenlik

HTTPS, tarama vekilinde erişim denetimi ve Apple satın alma altyapısını kullanırız. Hiçbir iletim yöntemi kusursuz güvenli değildir.

11. Site çerezleri

Pazarlama sitesi statiktir. Reklam çerezi kullanmayız. Destek formunu gönderirseniz Netlify gönderimi ve ilgili meta veriyi işleyebilir.

12. Değişiklikler

Bu politikayı güncelleyebiliriz. “Son güncelleme” tarihi değişir. Önemli değişiklikler bu sayfada yayımlanır. Yasanın izin verdiği yerde, güncellemeden sonra kullanıma devam etmek revize politikayı kabul ettiğiniz anlamına gelir.
